This Privacy Policy explains how Not A Budgeting Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use the Corki mobile application (the "App"). By using Corki, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name or username, and optionally a profile picture you choose to upload. This information is stored on our servers and is required to operate your account.

Location data

Corki requests access to your device's location solely to center the map on your current position. We do not store your location on our servers, track your location over time, or use it for any purpose other than displaying your position on the in-app map. Location access is entirely optional — you may deny it without losing access to the app's other features.

Content you create

When you save or create pairings and restaurant lists, we store the following data on our servers:

• Pairings — dish name, wine, producer, variety, region, notes, rating (1–5), price, tags, restaurant link, and your public/private preference
• Restaurant lists — imported or saved restaurants along with your tags and notes

Content you mark as private is visible only to you. Public content (a feature planned for a future release) will be visible to other Corki users.

AI chat

When you use Corki's AI chat to explore pairings or analyze menus, your messages and any photos you attach are sent to our servers to generate a response. We do not store chat messages or attached photos on our servers after your session ends. Conversation history is maintained locally on your device only and is not accessible to us.

Recent searches

Restaurant search results you've viewed recently — including name, address, place identifier, and thumbnail photo — are cached locally on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

Device and usage data

We plan to collect basic analytics data in a future update (see Section 8). When we do, we will update this policy before enabling collection.

2. How we use your information

• To create and manage your account
• To store and sync your saved pairings and restaurant lists across your devices
• To power the AI chat feature and return pairing recommendations
• To display your location on the in-app map
• To send transactional communications such as password resets or account notices
• To improve the App and diagnose technical issues

We do not use your data for advertising, behavioral profiling, or sale to third parties.

3. How we share your information

Service providers

We share data with a limited set of third-party providers that help us operate the App, including our AI inference provider (which processes your chat input and menu photos), cloud hosting and database providers, and mapping services. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than performing services for us.

Public content (future feature)

If you choose to make a pairing or restaurant list public, it will be visible to other Corki users. You can change a pairing from public to private at any time, which will remove it from public-facing views. We may display your username alongside public content you share.

Legal requirements

We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

Business transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change and your continued choices regarding your data.

4. Data storage and retention

Your account data and saved content are stored on servers located in the United States. We retain your account information and saved content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information and content within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.

Chat messages are not stored on our servers. Recent searches and local conversation history stored on your device are deleted when you clear the App's data or uninstall the App.

5. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction — update inaccurate information in your account settings
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data
• Portability — request an export of your saved pairings and restaurant lists in a common format
• Location — revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings

6. Children's privacy

Corki is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Third-party services

Corki integrates with third-party services to deliver certain features, including AI inference for chat and pairing suggestions, and a mapping provider to power the restaurant map. These providers have their own privacy policies governing how they handle data. We encourage you to review them. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.

8. Analytics

We currently do not collect analytics data. When we introduce analytics in a future version of the App, we will update this Privacy Policy before doing so. Any analytics we collect will be used solely to understand how the App is used and to improve it — not for advertising or behavioral profiling.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email and update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of Corki after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
